18-year cannabis veteran Jason Navarrete was born with a green thumb. Experiencing a poor and sometimes homeless upbringing, he started growing vegetables at age 8 to help his mother put food on the table. When he was 12, he began growing and selling cannabis, and learned how he could use his own “Midas touch” to turn his growing efforts into a thriving business.

Later, Navarrete began selling clones of cannabis plants to farmers in Moreno Valley, California. He also became an expert teacher on how to grow hydroponic cannabis indoors, renting huge warehouses with intricate lighting systems. In addition, he was buying foreclosed houses and flipping them for a profit. And then, in early 2016, cannabis was legalized as a recreational drug in California. The floodgates of legitimacy opened for him.

He became one of only 10 people in Lake Elsinore, California, to receive a license for cultivation, distribution, manufacturing and retail sales of cannabis. That gave him the ability to develop cannabis locations equipped to do much more than just grow plants. He purchased a massive property in Santa Ana, which gave him the opportunity to cultivate, manufacture, distribute and develop retail partnerships.

This cannabis conglomerate developed a worth of more than $250 million. Blending his expert cannabis-growing skills with his business savvy, Navarrete created one of the most comprehensive cannabis conglomerates in the U.S. His present hybrid business model has shaped how the cannabis industry will evolve in the coming decade.

One of the fastest-growing and diversified cannabis business owners in the U.S., Navarrete sold that empire in early 2020. He then launched the online company Pure Craft CBD, which creates the purest CBD products on the market, in January 2021 at age 34.
