About The Cultivation Of Hemp

Question: What does “pure” mean in relation to hemp production?

Answer:

Pure means that the hemp was grown in organic, unadulterated soil with no synthetic fertilizers and no harmful pesticides.

Question: Why is having pure hemp important?

Answer:

Pure hemp’s important because you want a clean final product. You want the end products to be free of heavy metals (from synthetic fertilizers) and harmful toxins (from noxious pesticides).

Question: What are the biggest challenges (in terms of producing pure crops) hemp cultivation’s overcome or is currently facing?

Answer:

The past challenges are the same as the current challenges for most hemp farmers. Here are some of the primary challenges or uncertainties farmers face:

1. Will there be enough clones or tissue culture starter plants of a consistent cultivar with a proven record of success in the field on their farm with their growing technique? Many growers still buy seed from unverified sources and — when the seeds turn out to be duds — end up at a loss because of it.
2. Overly fertilizing with organics can cause your crop to test “hot.” This means its THC content is higher than the federally-allowed 0.3% or less. If this happens, the crop must be burned.
3. Pests and pathogens play a huge role in the destruction of crops. Farmers have and continue to struggle with having an effective Integrated Pest Management (IPM) protocol in place. Only highly focused, experienced, and dedicated farmers have all these protocols in place.

Question: Looking ahead, what challenges (in terms of producing pure crops) do you envision?

Answer:

As demand grows for hemp, farms need to acquire more land to serve that demand. That means even bigger farms to maintain and keep pure. The ones that will excel are the ones who are focused on crossbreeding to obtain the highest levels of CBD (and other cannabinoids) possible while remaining at or below 0.3% THC. These crossbred phenotypes will be unique to that farm, giving them an edge over every other farm. Higher levels of other cannabinoids means more yield per acre.

Question: Please share some of the past, present, and upcoming highlights of your research partnership with MIT.

Answer:

Our focus had been on nano-optimizing all cannabinoids evenly down to the lowest nanometer — all while maintaining its block chain. Now that we’ve completed that successfully, we’re currently concentratingour research on adding other nano-optimized minerals and vitamins to the cannabinoids. This creates opportunities to promote even more tailored wellness.

Question: Please comment on how and why this research partnership is important for producing pure hemp.

Answer:

Combining my extensive background with cannabis cultivation and the experience of very intelligent nutraceutical chemists is what makes this collaboration so potent. Applying the brightest minds to the research of developing outstanding, highlybioavailable and stable cannabinoid products is the best approach for moving the industry into the future.

Question: What’s the correlation between hemp cultivation and CBD quality?

Answer:

The quality of the CBD is directly tied to quality and characteristics of the hemp it’s derived from. Hemp naturally produces high levels of CBD and low levels of THC. Further influencing this are those crossbred cultivars I mentioned previously. So, naturally, the correlation of the cannabinoids levels in the hemp and CBD is evident.

Question: How does having the purest CBD improve product quality?

Answer:

Pure CBD and other cannabinoids result in a cleaner, more quality-driven product. For Pure Craft, we’re focused solely on the end consumer and they deserve the best possible products.

Answer:
